Project Overview

A Czech Savings Bank sought to improve its process for high-volume data exchange between hundreds of branch locations and its central headquarters. Their existing solution was slow and unreliable, and had been determined to be inappropriate for mission-critical file transfers.

After evaluating several options, Czech Savings Bank chose CyberFusion Integration Suite (CFI)™, from Proginet, citing the solution's automation capabilities, cross-platform support, and ability to transfer very large files at high volume.

By implementing CFI Platform Servers enterprise wide, Czech Savings Bank has simplified its file-transfer infrastructure – drawing on the solution's high performance, automation, and cross platform capabilities to integrate all of their business processes more effectively and efficiently.

Today, CFI moves an average of 4,000 files and 3 terabytes of data daily across Czech Savings Bank's more than 100 nodes (MVS, NT and Unix combined). Individual files vary in size with some being as large as 20GB; CFI's "on the fly" compression mechanism compresses all data in-stream – eliminating the need to compress an entire file or dataset before a transfer – and improving overall performance.

The result? A vastly improved file-transfer infrastructure that meets Czech Savings Bank's needs in terms of security, performance, control, and efficiency.
