Consortium Health Plans Selects Proginet to Solve E-mail Attachment Challenges

Slingshot Enables Desktop Users to Send E-mail Attachments of Literally Any Size with Full Security and Auditability

Garden City, N.Y.—November 12, 2008—Proginet Corporation [OTCBB: PRGF], a world leader in multi-platform file transfer solutions, today announced that Consortium Health Plans has selected Slingshot, the Company’s enterprise solution for solving e-mail attachment challenges, to handle the everyday transfer of large files between desktop users.

Under the terms of the agreement, Consortium Health Plans, which is a national coalition of independent Blue Cross Blue Shield® providers, has deployed Slingshot so that business users within and across the organization can send e-mail attachments of any size. In addition, the solution is being used to send large e-mail attachments to Consortium’s network of external business partners.

“Slingshot has proven to be an incredibly powerful solution for Consortium,” said Marcliff N. Fountaine, Technology Coordinator at Consortium Health Plans. “It seems like a simple concept but we had really struggled with the exchange of large files. Everyday file transfers at Consortium can frequently exceed 400 MB per file. Our Exchange servers impose a 10 MB limit on attachments so e-mail was never really an option. We’d built workaround processes using Secure FTP, but these were intensely manual and difficult to control and manage. With Slingshot deployed on every desktop, users are able to send files of any size securely from right within their standard e-mail environment. Not only that, but every file is encrypted, trackable, and fully auditable.”
